Transfersomes

Transfersomes are phospholipid vesicles specially used as carriers for the transdermal delivery of the drug and provide a new approach for the treatment, especially for skin cancer. Creative Biolabs is an undisputed global leader in the customized drug delivery system and provides development services for various vesicular system according to our clients’ unique specifications. Here, we offer high-quality service against the transfersomes system and commercial transfersomes-related products for our global clients.

Transfersomes

Transfersomes are a novel drug delivery system and are special types of liposomes. The formulation of transfersomes includes phospholipids which act as vesicle-forming material, surfactants to provide flexibility, alcohol as a solvent and buffering agent as a hydrating medium. Transfersomes can penetrate the intact stratum corneum spontaneously along two routes in the intracellular lipid that differ in their bilayers properties. Transfersomes consist of both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties and high deformability gives better penetration of intact vesicles. This system has several order magnitude of elasticity and flexibility over liposomal drug delivery which makes it favorable for efficient skin penetration and hence for the novel drug delivery system. Transfersomes overcome the skin penetration difficulty by squeezing themselves along the intracellular sealing lipid of the stratum corneum. The flexibility of transfersomes membrane is obtained by mixing suitable surface-active components in the proper ratios.

The skin acts as a barrier and prevents transcutaneous delivery of therapeutic agents. The transfersomes could cross this kind of transport barriers efficiently and then act as a drug carrier for non-invasive targeted drug delivery and sustained release of therapeutic agents. Transfersomes are introduced for the effective transdermal delivery of number of low and high molecular weight drugs. The entrapment efficiency can reach up to 90%.

A wide spectrum of customized delivery products is available for your choice.

Salient Advnatages of Our Transfersomes System

  • Accommodating drugs with a wide range of solubility due to its hydrophobic and hydrophilic moieties
  • Deforming and passing through narrow constriction
  • High entrapment efficiency
  • Better penetration of intact vesicles
  • Systemic as well as topical delivery of drug
  • Releasing contents slowly and gradually
  • Biocompatible and biodegradable
  • Easy to scale up

Transfersomes are advantageous as phospholipids vesicles for transdermal drug delivery. The vesicular transfersomes are more elastic than the traditional liposomes and thus well suited for skin penetration. With years of research on drug delivery for the treatment of different diseases especially cancers, Creative Biolabs now provides the unique transfersomes development services to meet our clients’ demands precisely.
