Description
1-O-hexadecyl-2-acetyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine is a platelet-activating factor (PAF). Acetyl PAF is a natural PAF with ether-linked hexadecyl chain at the sn-1 position and an acetyl group at the sn-2 position. It is used as a substrate in enzymatic lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) activity assay.
