1,2-Didocosahexaenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate (sodium salt) is a sodium salt of phosphatidic acid, with substitution of two chains of docosahexaenic acid at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions, in the glycerol backbone. It has been used as an internal standard in shotgun electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS) for the analysis of phospholipids.
