1,2-didocosahexaenoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine is a 1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine in which both the acyl groups specified is (4Z,7Z,10Z,13Z,16Z,19Z)-docosahexaenoyl. It has been used as a standard for the optimization of liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC/MS) conditions and to detect the serum antiphosphatidylethanolamine (aPE) antibodies from patients using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
