L-α-Phosphatidylcholine is isolated from soybean. It is a phospholipid mixture with phosphatidylcholine as a major component, followed by phosphatidylethanolamine and phosphatidylinositol. It is used in the preparation of cytochrome c-encapsulated liposomes for proteoliposomes internalization studies.
