Introduction

ADORA2B encodes a protein belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily and is highly expressed in various carcinomas, leading to the promotion of cancer cell proliferation and metastasis. ADORA2B also regulates the tumor microenvironment and is involved in peripheral vascular growth, inflammatory cell infiltration, fibroblast proliferation, and extracellular matrix accumulation.

ADORA2B is an indispensable target in the regulation of both acute and chronic pulmonary diseases, such as pulmonary hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and pulmonary fibrosis.
