CAR-engineered T cell therapy has been rapidly developing in recent years. It has achieved impressive curative effects on many types of cancers. However, there are some adverse events following treatment with CAR-T cell therapy. Marked CAR-T cells express not only CARs but also tumor epitopes that can be recognized by an existing monoclonal antibody. If severe adverse effects take place, administration of the specific monoclonal antibody can clear CAR-T cells with no additional off-tumor effects.
