VivoCAR™ Anti-AFP (A18) h(CD28-41BB-CD3ζ) CAR saRNA employs a high-efficiency self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) backbone to express the A18 single-domain antibody. This antibody fragment is particularly valuable for in vivo applications due to its specific recognition of intracellular alpha-fetoprotein (AFP)-derived peptide fragments presented by MHC class I molecules on hepatocellular carcinoma cells. The inherent amplification property of the saRNA platform generates a potent biological signal, ensuring strong and sustained CAR expression directly at the site of T-cell engagement. This strategy enables precise targeting and elimination of AFP-presenting tumors, while the dose-sparing profile of saRNA administration helps minimize the risk of systemic toxicity, a critical consideration for patients with compromised liver function.
