glia-α2a

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

In HLA-DQ2-associated CD, a series of gluten epitopes have been characterized, including peptides derived from wheat subfractions (α-, β-, γ-, and ω-gliadin and low- and high-moleclular-weight glutenins) and closely related sequences in barley hordeins and rye secalins. The immunodominant wheat gluten peptide comprises two overlapping T-cell determinants (DQ2.5-glia-α1a (PFPQPELPY) and DQ2.5-glia-α2 (PQPELPYPQ)) contained within a single, protease-resistant α-gliadin 11 mer.
