Anti-AXL (11D5-lgG1)-Megf10 CAR-MA (CARMA-W1696)

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

The vector of anti-AXL chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) is constructed for the engineering of macrophage cells to target human AXL and induce target cell phagocytosis. The macrophage cells are genetically modified through transduction with a lentiviral vector expressing scFv of anti-AXL antibody (11D5-lgG1) linked to Megf10 signaling domains. The vector product was designed for the treatment of Renal cancer.

  • Discription of Signaling Cassetes
  • Megf10:
Megf10 is used as the CAR intracellular signaling domain. As a phagocytosis receptor, Megf10 has cytosolic Immunoreceptor Tyrosine-based Activation Motifs (ITAMs) that are phosphorylated by Src family kinases. Based on this mechanism, Megf10 signaling can induce macrophage phagocytosis which has been demonstrated in the published article.
It is a membrane receptor involved in phagocytosis by macrophages and astrocytes of apoptotic cells. It's a receptor for C1q, an eat-me signal, that binds phosphatidylserine expressed on the surface of apoptotic cells

  • Gene Name
  • AXL receptor tyrosine kinase
  • Introduction
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the Tyro3-Axl-Mer (TAM) receptor tyrosine kinase subfamily. The encoded protein possesses an extracellular domain which is composed of two immunoglobulin-like motifs at the N-terminal, followed by two fibronectin type-III motifs. It transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to the vitamin K-dependent protein growth arrest-specific 6 (Gas6). This gene may be involved in several cellular functions including growth, migration, aggregation and anti-inflammation in multiple cell types. The encoded protein acts as a host cell receptor for multiple viruses, including Marburg, Ebola and Lassa viruses and is a candidate receptor for the SARS-CoV2 virus.
  • Alternative Names
  • ARK; UFO; JTK11; Tyro7; AXL; AXL receptor tyrosine kinase
