Introduction
VEGFR-2 is a type IV receptor tyrosine kinase that serves as the primary mediator of the physiological and pathological effects of VEGF-A. It is predominantly expressed on vascular endothelial cells. In the context of oncology, VEGFR-2 is highly overexpressed on the blood vessels of solid tumors to facilitate neoangiogenesis.
