Plasmodium gallinaceum is a parasite that infects poultry and causes malaria and belongs to the genus Plasmodium. The pathogen is transmitted by Culex and Aedes mosquitoes and has a strong pathogenicity. The development of Plasmodium gallinaceum requires two hosts, one is the intermediate host bird, asexual reproduction and the beginning stage of sexual reproduction occur there, and the other is the terminal host mosquito, where the Plasmodium gallinaceum performs sexual reproduction.
