These high-purity CD56+ NK cells are isolated from the peripheral blood of donors diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Given the role of intraepithelial NK-like cells in the destruction of the intestinal mucosa, these circulating counterparts are vital for studying the systemic "licensing" and recruitment of cytotoxic cells to the gut. Isolation is performed via immunomagnetic separation to ensure the preservation of NKG2D expression and other markers associated with gluten-induced enteropathy.
