Living Tumor Biobank-Based PDX Model Library for CAR-T Therapy

All products and services are For Research Use Only and CANNOT be used in the treatment or diagnosis of disease.

Scientific advances in cryopreservation have enabled the prospect of establishing "living biobanks" that store viable, functional tissue or replicable cell types for years to decades. This could have a significant impact across basic biological research, medicine, and the biopharma industry. Living biobank allows for the delivery of de-identified clinical data. With our state-of-the-art technology and seasoned expertise, Creative Biolabs has perfected our technical pipelines in the establishment of living tumor biobanking. A targeted but scalable workflow can be adjusted to accommodate a variety of research needs. Living tumor biobank will constitute an important tool for functional personalized medicine for cancers, especially chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T-cell therapy preclinical study. Our multidisciplinary platform teams work closely to address these scientific and technical challenges.

The Importance of Living Biobank for Cancer Research

Cancer research is a complex field and now focused on a personalized medicine approach. Researchers aim to understand how different tumor types change on a molecular level over time. Clinicians have the goal to develop tailored treatment plans for individual patients. Living cancer biobanks play a key role in this research by collecting, processing, storing, and distributing patient samples and associated data. Successful development of effective treatments relies heavily on experimental models predictive of clinical outcomes. Patient-derived xenografts (PDXs) have long been regarded as the model of choice to test chemo- and/or targeted therapies for close mimicking human disease and heterogeneous patient population. Over the last few years, tens of thousands of PDXs have become a workhorse for cancer drug evaluation in the preclinical setting.

Living Tumor Biobank at Creative Biolabs

Specimens are collected from patients meeting inclusion criteria. Tumor tissues from surgical resections include diverse cancer types, such as lung cancer, gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, esophageal cancer, ovarian cancer, head&neck cancer, cervical cancer, mesothelioma, and metastatic cancer. Collaborated with hospital and researchers, Creative Biolabs has establishes large PDX libraries (>1700 PDX models) covering a range of tumor types. Many PDXs have been extensively tested for various investigational therapies, such as CAR-T therapy research, other immunology research, and infectious disease research.
