Gene of RAPH1 encodes a protein that belongs to the Mig10Rap1-interacting adaptor moleculeLamellipodin family of adapter proteins, which play a role in cell migration. Members of this family contain Ras-association domains, pleckstrin-homology domains, and proline-rich C-termini. RAPH1 regulates actin dynamics through interaction with EnaVasodilator proteins as well as direct binding to filamentous actin to regulate actin network assembly. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
