ACD Analysis

As with all professional assay services studies, biomarker analysis development projects are customized according to the needs of the customer, the specific biomarkers and the intended use. Our team is experienced in developing assays and conducting bioanalytical validation studies under tight timelines. Armed with rich experience and advanced platform, Creative Biolabs provides adrenocortical dysplasia protein homolog (ACD) molecular and functional analysis services for global clients.

Background

ACD, also well-known as TPP1, is one of six core proteins in the telosome/shelterin telomeric complex, which functions to maintain telomere length and to protect telomere ends. Through its interaction with other components, ACD plays a key role in the assembly and stabilization of this complex, and it mediates the access of telomerase to the telomere. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. On the other hand, a somatic ACD mutation was observed in a case of childhood pre-B acute lymphoblastic leukemia. In vitro studies support a role for this genomic abnormality in leukemia cells resistance to apoptosis.

Services at Creative Biolabs

Recent years have seen telomere biology research greatly benefitting from applications of cutting-edge techniques. Among fundamental research, there is a growing interest in measuring protein expression and identifying protein interaction by multiplex detection technology, nucleic acid/protein level detection, protein interaction. It is now important to extend those approaches to analysis telomeric protein complexes. Creative Biolabs also harbors anti-ACD mAb for use in WB, ELISA, and ICC. Field application specialist at Creative Biolabs will work closely with your team to ensure successful training of the protocol and enable a faster transfer into your lab or external lab of your choice.

Custom assay can be designed in 1-2 weeks, dramatically shortening the time for assay development to weeks rather than months. If you are interested in our analysis services, please feel free to contact us for more information.
