With the expansion of precision medicine, markers for the classification of diseases and treatment responses are becoming increasingly important. Glycoproteins have a high potential to serve as markers for inflammatory and cancer diseases. Glycoproteins represent a rich source of information because their nontemplate-based synthesis by complex enzymatic pathways includes a variety of processes, such as the expression of protein-coding genes, the availability of activated substrates for the synthesis of glycans, and the activity of the enzymatic glycosylation machinery. The terminal glycans of glycoproteins have important functions in cell interaction, adhesion, and recognition. Moreover, these glycans mediate the migration and distribution of cells and are an essential part of the immunological barrier. Accumulated studies have indicated that the composition and pattern of glycoproteins are associated with tumor growth and metastatic formation. Therefore, secreted and membrane-associated glycoproteins make excellent targets for noninvasive detection.
Creative Biolabs offers a wide range of native glycoprotein products and recombinant glycoprotein products with high quality. We have established several advanced recombinant glycoprotein expression and production systems, including glyco-engineered mammalian cell expression and production system, glyco-engineered pichia pastoris expression and production system, glyco-engineered plant-based expression and production system, and moss-based production system. Moreover, to validate the glycosylation of the glycoprotein produced, glycan profiling can be performed. Our R&D scientific team has conducted many recombinant glycoprotein expression and production projects during the past few years. Extensive experience has led to a large number of successes. If you are interested in our recombinant glycoprotein expression and production service, please feel free to contact us or directly send us an inquiry.
