PharmaOnco™ HEK293-Tg(Human OX40) Stable Cell Line, Single Clone

CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM186
Product Type: Stable Cell Line
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers HEK293-Tg(Human OX40) stable cell line which the OX40 gene stably expressed in HEK293 cells.
Description
HEK293-Tg(Human OX40) stable cell line is a cell line derived from HEK293 cells that has been transfected with the human OX40 gene and stably expresses this gene. OX40, also known as CD134, is a co-stimulatory molecule that plays a role in regulating immune responses, particularly T cell activation and function. The creation of this stable cell line allows for the study of OX40 signaling pathways, interactions with other immune cells, and potential therapeutic interventions targeting OX40. It can be used in various research applications, such as screening for OX40 agonists or antagonists, studying the effects of OX40 on immune responses, and investigating the role of OX40 in different disease models.

Background
The OX40 gene, also known as TNFRSF4, is a gene that encodes a protein known as OX40 (CD134). OX40 is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and is primarily expressed on activated T cells. When OX40 binds to its ligand, OX40L, it plays a critical role in regulating T cell activation, proliferation, survival, and cytokine production. The OX40 gene has been implicated in various immune responses, including promoting T cell activation and survival, enhancing memory T cell formation, and regulating the balance between effector and regulatory T cells. Targeting the OX40 pathway has shown promise in cancer immunotherapy, as blocking OX40 signaling can enhance anti-tumor immune responses.

Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Identity Testing
Identity testing is required for newly established cell lines. Isoenzyme analysis is used to confirm the identity of the species of a cell line. Alternative methods for identity testing include DNA fingerprinting, STR analysis and karyology.
Virological Safety Testing
A broad range of viruses is susceptible to affecting human cell lines. We can provide in vivo/vitro virus safety assays by utilizing various animal systems. These viruses include: adventitious viruses, bovine viruses, human and simian viruses, porcine viruses, retrovirus and rodent viruses.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.
Shipping

Storage
Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
Warnings
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles
