Gut Microbiota in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Research

The gut microbiome exerts essential functions in health and disease, modulating key processes in metabolism, inflammation and immunity. The disorder of the gut microbiota is associated with several diseases and manipulating its composition and diversity is an important element to control the development of these diseases. Therefore, one emerging translational application of the gut microbiome is its potential as a diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarker or as a therapeutic target. In-depth deciphering of gut microbiota will support the development of new microbiota-based assessments and interventions which can help with disease diagnosis, prognosis and treatment. At present, several microbiome-based therapeutics have been developed, including probiotics, prebiotics and fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs).

Our Services

With the rapid progress in omics such as genomics and metabolomics, the gut microbiota has become a focus in understanding the responses to human diseases. Based on a gut microbiota-based diagnostics platform, Creative Biolabs provides comprehensive multi-omics services including culturomics, metagenomics, metatranscriptomics, metaproteomics and metabolomics, to analyze and monitor gut pathogens host response. Our scientists are experts in bioinformatics and can supply unsurpassed data quality and reliable analysis.

Microbiome engineering is a rapidly evolving frontier for solutions to improve human health. Microbiome engineering holds great promise because of advances in the field of synthetic biology, which strives to create and rewire biological organisms so they perform desired tasks. Equipped with advanced techniques and rich experience, Creative Biolabs provides a wide range of gut microbiota engineering including antibiotic modification, probiotic modification, probiotic & antibiotic modification, prebiotic modification, synbiotic modification, targeted modification using antibodies.

Creative Biolabs has accumulated extensive experience in developing therapeutic models of personalized medicine for various diseases. We can transfer disease phenotypes from humans to germ-free mice through microbiota transfers. Our animal models are useful in studying various human diseases. We offer you complete animal microbiome analysis and reporting services for better insights into microbial populations and their functions.

Creative Biolabs provides a series of services including multi-omics services, gut microbiota engineering services, and animal models construction services to support therapeutic and diagnostic research. If you are interested in analyzing microbiota as part of your clinical or academic research, please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to help.
