Short Description
This IHC kit simplifies the detection of APOA1, providing a complete set of pre-optimized reagents and a user-friendly protocol for reliable and reproducible staining with minimal effort.
Description
APOA1, is a major protein component of high-density lipoproteins (HDL) associated with reversed cholesterol transport, lipid/cholesterol binding, lecithin/cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activation, and specific receptor binding. It is synthesized in the liver and small intestine. Defects in APOA1 cause low HDL levels and systemic non-neuropathic amyloidosis. Serum concentrations of APOA1 are inversely related to the risk of developing atherosclerosis. This antibody was generated against the C-terminal region of human APOA1.
