Platelet Endothelial Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 (PECAM-1, CD31) is a transmembrane glycoprotein highly expressed on endothelial cells, hematopoietic cells, and immune cells. It is involved in cell adhesion, signaling, nitric oxide production, T-cell immunity regulation, leukocyte transendothelial migration, inflammation, and angiogenesis.
