Description
CD44 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein involved in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions through its affinity for hyaluronic acid (HA). CD44 mediates cell migration, tumor growth, and progression. It is also involved in lymphocyte activation, recirculation, homing, and hematopoiesis.
