Short Description
Obtain reliable CPT1C staining outcomes with this ready-to-use IHC kit, delivering all reagents for a complete staining process.
Description
CPT1C, also known as CATL1, CPTI-B, and B-CPTI, is part of the carnitine/choline acetyltransferase family. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT) deficiencies are common disorders affecting mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation. The CPT system consists of two proteins located in the outer (CPT1) and inner (CPT2) mitochondrial membranes. CPT1C is an active form of brain-type carnitine palmitoyltransferase I and may be regulated by malonyl-CoA, playing a role in the hypothalamic regulation of food intake and energy expenditure.
