FOXA2, also known as HNF-3B, is involved in embryonic development and regulation of gene expression in differentiated tissues. It functions similarly to FOXA1 and modulates tissue-specific gene expression. FOXA2 shuttles between the nucleus and cytoplasm and is regulated by phosphorylation. It contributes to the development of organs such as the liver and pancreas and is important in maintaining cellular functions.
