Short Description
Achieve efficient GATM staining with this pre-prepared IHC kit, facilitating a seamless antigen retrieval to coverslip process.
Description
GATM, or AGAT, is an enzyme responsible for producing ornithine and guanidinoacetate (GAA) from arginine and glycine. It is crucial for creatine synthesis. Deficiency in GATM during infancy leads to neurodevelopmental delays. In adults, GATM is predominantly expressed in the kidney and pancreas, and reduced levels of this protein are associated with proximal tubule damage, making it a marker for kidney damage.
