OTC (Ornithine Transcarbamylase) is an intramitochondrial enzyme in the urea cycle. It catalyzes the conversion of ornithine and carbamoyl phosphate into citrulline, a detoxification step for ammonia produced from amino acid catabolism.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
