T24 In Vitro LDH Assay (Cell Viability)

CAT#: ITS-1022-YF3160
Target Cell Organism: Human
Target Cell Name: T24
Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide T24-based In Vitro LDH Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
T24
Target Cell Organism
Human
Target Cell Background
The T24 cell line was established from a transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder in a female patient in 1973. Reports in the literature indicated a wide range of tumorigenicity for T24 when injected subcutaneously in immunocompromised murine hosts.
Related Diseases
Bladder Cancer
Research Area
Oncology
Assay Name
In Vitro LDH Assay (Cell Viability)
Short Description
T24-cell based In Vitro LDH Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
Lactate dehydrogenase leakage assay (LDH assay) can also be used to determine viability of cancer cells. Upon treatment with a testing drug, if the drug can rupture the cell membrane, cells release LDH to the culture medium and released LDH can be quantified.
Assay Alternative Names
Lactate Dehydrogenase Leakage Assay
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
Assay Subtype
Cell Viability Assay
Assay MOA
Cell-based Viability Assays Based on Cellular Enzymes and Proteins
