According to Von Kossa, five -reagent kit are used for the simple and reproducible detection of calcium deposits and calcium salts in tissue samples. Tissue calcification is associated with metabolic problems in various tissues (eg, bone marrow and breast) and tumors.
Description
Von Kossa kit for calcium deposition and calcium salt visualization. Silver ions from silver nitrate replace calcium carbonate ions and calcium phosphate ions, which produce microscopic silver light under strong light sources. Treatment of preparations with lithium carbonate prevents false positive staining. Counterstaining was achieved using Kernechtrot reagent.
