4T1 In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability)
CAT#: ITS-1022-YF436
Target Cell Organism: Mouse
Target Cell Name: 4T1
Assay Type: Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Overview
This assay is to provide 4T1-based In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability) to accelerate our client's oncology projects. The assay will be customized according to the specific requirements. Please contact our scientists to discuss more details.
Target Cell Name
4T1
Target Cell Organism
Mouse
Target Cell Background
4T1 is a breast cancer cell line derived from the mammary gland tissue of a mouse BALB/c strain. 4T1 cells are epithelial and are resistant to 6-thioguanine. In preclinical research, 4T1 cells have been used to study breast cancer metastasis as they can metastasize to the lung, liver, lymph nodes, brain and bone.

Assay Name
In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability)
Short Description
4T1-cell based In Vitro Trypan Blue Exclusion Assay (Cell Viability)
Assay Description
The intact cell membranes cannot recruit these dyes into cells. Trypan blue can enter into non-viable cells, while viable cells exclude trypan blue. The trypan blue exclusion assay is a simple and commonly used assay for cell viability determination.
Assay Type
Cell Viability/Cytotoxicity and Antiproliferative Assays
Assay Type Details
Uncontrolled proliferation is one of the main features of cancer cells. Cell-based in vitro assays are employed to determine whether test molecules possess direct cytotoxic/antiproliferative effects in cancer cells.
