PharmaOnco™ CHO-Tg(Human CD38) Stable Cell Line, Single Clone

CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM126
Product Type: Stable Cell Line
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Human CD38) stable cell line which the CD38 gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
CHO-Tg(Human CD38) stable cell line is a cell line derived from Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells that has been genetically modified to express the human CD38 gene. CD38 is a cell surface enzyme involved in regulating immune responses and cell signaling. The stable cell line can be used in research studies to investigate the function of CD38 and develop therapies targeting this enzyme. It can also be used in drug screening assays to identify compounds that modulate CD38 activity.

Background
The CD38 gene encodes a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on the surface of various immune cells, including T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and monocytes. CD38 plays a role in regulating immune responses, cell adhesion, and signaling pathways. CD38 is also known as a surface marker for identifying different cell populations in flow cytometry analysis. Mutations or overexpression of the CD38 gene have been associated with various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, infectious diseases, and cancer. Therapeutic targeting of CD38 has been explored for the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of cancer that originates in plasma cells. Monoclonal antibodies that target CD38, such as daratumumab, have been approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma and other hematologic malignancies.

Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Identity Testing
Identity testing is required for newly established cell lines. Isoenzyme analysis is used to confirm the identity of the species of a cell line. Alternative methods for identity testing include DNA fingerprinting, STR analysis and karyology.
Virological Safety Testing
A broad range of viruses is susceptible to affecting human cell lines. We can provide in vivo/vitro virus safety assays by utilizing various animal systems. These viruses include: adventitious viruses, bovine viruses, human and simian viruses, porcine viruses, retrovirus and rodent viruses.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.

Storage
Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
Warnings
Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles
