PharmaOnco™ CHO-Tg(Human FUT4//Human CD15) Stable Cell Line, Single Clone (CAT#: ITS-0822-HMM157)

DatasheetDatasheet
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers CHO-Tg(Human FUT4//Human CD15) stable cell line which the FUT4-CD15 gene stably expressed in CHO cells.
Description
CHO-Tg(Human FUT4//Human CD15) stable cell line is a genetically modified Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line that stably expresses human FUT4 gene encoding the enzyme fucosyltransferase 4 (FUT4) and human CD15 antigen. FUT4 is responsible for the synthesis of the CD15 antigen, a fucosylated carbohydrate structure found on the surface of certain cells, including leukocytes. The stable expression of FUT4 and CD15 in CHO cells allows for the production of glycoproteins or glycolipids with the CD15 antigen, which can be used for various applications, such as studying the role of CD15 in cell adhesion, migration, and signaling, or for the development of diagnostic tools or therapeutic agents targeting CD15-positive cells.

Background
The FUT4 gene encodes for the enzyme alpha-(1,3)-fucosyltransferase 4, which is involved in the process of adding fucose sugar molecules to glycoproteins and glycolipids. Fucosyltransferases play a role in various biological processes such as cell adhesion, migration, and signaling.
The CD15 antigen, also known as Lewis X antigen, is a carbohydrate structure that is synthesized by the FUT4 enzyme. It is a cell surface glycolipid and is commonly used as a marker for certain types of immune cells, such as neutrophils and monocytes.
