CD4⁺ cells are a type of immune cell that plays a central role in the immune response. These cells, also known as T helper cells, are a subtype of T lymphocytes that express the CD4 molecule on their cell surface. CD4⁺ cells play a key role in coordinating the immune response by helping to activate other immune cells, such as B cells and cytotoxic T cells.

CD4+ cells, also known as T-helper cells, are a type of white blood cell that play a critical role in the functioning of the immune system. These cells are responsible for coordinating the immune response by activating and directing other immune cells to defend against pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, and other foreign invaders. CD4+ cells also play a key role in adaptive immunity, a specific immune response that develops after exposure to a pathogen to provide long-lasting protection against future infections. In individuals with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), the virus specifically targets and infects CD4+ cells, leading to a weakening of the immune system and increased susceptibility to infections.
