Creative Biolabs offers Human Monocytes, Purified for a wide variety of immune functional assays.
Description
Purified human monocytes are a specific type of white blood cell that have been isolated and separated from other cell types in the blood. Monocytes play a crucial role in the immune system, as they can differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells, which are responsible for phagocytosis and antigen presentation, respectively. Purified human monocytes are commonly used in research studies to investigate their function, response to stimuli, and role in various diseases.
Background
Human monocytes are a good source of cells to study the role of monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells in the immune response. This is because blood monocytes are commonly used to differentiate into macrophages or dendritic cells with the appropriate cytokine environment. Together, these 3 cell types of the innate immune system serve very important functions, including phagocytosis, cytokine production to enhance the immune response, and antigen presentation to T cells.

Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.
Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Application
Immunotherapy Discovery and Development
Research Use Only
Our immune cell are for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Quality Control
Cultures are screened for the presence of bacteries, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma (DNA amplification). Growth media are also certified based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines.
Storage
Lyophilized cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance. Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line. Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
