PharmaOnco™ Rhesus Macaque Monkey CD8 T Cells, Purified
CAT#: IC-LX045
Product Type: OncoImmune Cells
Cell Type: CD8 T Cells
Species: Rhesus Monkey
Short Description
Creative Biolabs offers Rhesus Macaque Monkey CD8 T Cells, Purified for a variety of stimulation-dependent functional experiments to assess cytokine production, proliferation, and cytotoxicity.
Description
Rhesus macaque monkey CD8 T cells can be purified from peripheral blood mononuclear cells using a combination of antibody-based selection methods. The purified CD8 T cells can then be used in a variety of research applications, such as studying immune responses to pathogens or vaccines in the rhesus macaque model.
Species character
Rhesus macaques are one of the most commonly utilized non-human primates in biomedical research. They are employed in numerous research areas, such as immunology, neuroscience, oncology, infectious disease, and toxicology due to their physiology.
Background
Rhesus CD8 T cells make up approximately 8-28% of PBMCs in a typical adult monkey. These cells carry the CD8 protein marker and the T cell receptor (TCR), which recognizes foreign antigens presented by major histocompatibility complex class I molecules on antigen presenting cells to activate them.

Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.
Sterility Testing
Creative Biolabs provides sterility testing in accordance with USP and EP regulations. All of our sterility testing is performed in an isolator or clean room environments. The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.
Genetic Stability Testing
We perform cell genetic stability studies under ICH guidelines. We can provide guidance on the appropriate testing program upon your requirements.
Application
Immunotherapy Discovery and Development
Research Use Only
Our immune cell are for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Quality Control
Cultures are screened for the presence of bacteries, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma (DNA amplification). Growth media are also certified based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines.
Storage
Lyophilized cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance. Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line. Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
