Collagen VI is a beaded filament collagen comprising three polypeptides: alpha-1(VI), alpha-2(VI), and alpha-3(VI). Mutations in the COL6A2 gene, which encodes the alpha-2 subunit, are associated with disorders like Bethlem myopathy and Ullrich scleroatonic muscular dystrophy.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.
