Simplify ETFA staining with this comprehensive IHC kit, featuring pre-optimized reagents for a straightforward antigen retrieval to mounting procedure.
Description
Electron transfer flavoprotein (ETF), located in the mitochondrial matrix, is a nuclear-encoded enzyme that delivers electrons to the respiratory chain via straight-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenases and other dehydrogenases. ETF plays a role in mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and amino acid metabolism, both of which are affected in Multiple Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD), a disorder linked to ETF dysfunction. ETF consists of alpha- and beta-subunits encoded by the ETFA and ETFB genes, respectively.
