Short Description
Obtain rapid HSD17B4 staining with this fully prepared IHC solution, providing components for a streamlined workflow.
Description
HSD17B4 (17-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase 4), also known as peroxisomal multifunctional enzyme type 2 or D-bifunctional protein, is involved in the beta-oxidation of fatty acids in peroxisomes. It catalyzes the formation of 3-ketoacyl-CoA intermediates. The protein undergoes proteolytic cleavage to generate dehydrogenase and hydratase subunits, which play key roles in peroxisomal fatty acid metabolism.
