Description
GRIM19 (Gene associated with retinoic and interferon-induced mortality 19 protein), also known as NDUFA13 or CI-B16.6, is a member of the complex I NDUFA13 subunit family. It may localize in both mitochondria and the nucleus, with its distribution being influenced by cellular context and post-translational modifications such as phosphorylation and acetylation. Different isoforms of GRIM19 may exist, each potentially occupying distinct cellular compartments.
