Serum IgG4 is a subtype of IgG elevated in autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) and other diseases. It is a marker for IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD), a systemic immune-mediated fibro-inflammatory condition, particularly involving the pancreas and salivary glands. A serum IgG4 level of 135 mg/mL is a reliable marker for IgG4-RD, and IgG4 positive plasma cell infiltration is common in the disease.

To ensure the preservation of their functional properties, all reagents within this kit must be maintained at a temperature between 2°C and 8°C. Under these storage conditions, the kit will retain its effectiveness for a period of 6 to 12 months following receipt.

- Positive control: a section from a tissue known to express the protein of interest.
- Negative control: a section from a tissue known not to express the target antigen.
