Description
Rhesus macaque monkey NK cells are a type of immune cell that plays a crucial role in the body's defense against viruses and cancer. These cells are part of the innate immune system and are able to recognize and kill infected or abnormal cells without the need for prior exposure.

Background
Rhesus NK cells make up approximately 2-18% of PBMCs in a typical adult monkey. These cells carry activating and inhibitory molecules that influence their activation status.

Quality Control
Cultures are screened for the presence of bacteries, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma (DNA amplification). Growth media are also certified based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines.
Storage
Lyophilized cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
