Description
Designed to bridge the translational gap between in vitro assays and murine in vivo models. The Vesitra™ Mouse MDR1 cell line forms intact epithelial monolayers, allowing for accurate bidirectional transport measurements to predict intestinal absorption and brain penetration specifically in mouse models.

Mouse Mdr1 (Mdr1a/1b) expresses the murine ortholog of human P-gp. While human clinical data is paramount, early-stage in vivo pharmacokinetic and toxicology studies heavily rely on murine models. This cell line provides the essential in vitro functional data required to understand species-specific efflux kinetics and accurately bridge mouse preclinical data to human outcomes.

Identity Testing

Virological Safety Testing

Frozen cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). Once reconstituted, the cells may be used for up to five days if properly stored at 2°C - 8°C in the buffer provided.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance. Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line. Disclaimer: We cannot guarantee cell viability if the cells are not thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure.
