Description
Wistar rat PBMCs can be isolated from the peripheral blood of Wistar rats and used in various research studies to investigate immune responses, inflammation, and other immune-related processes. Species character
The Wistar rat is one of the two most routinely-used outbred albino rat strains in biomedical research. They are commonly used in many fields of research, including oncology, aging, pharmacology, toxicology, and metabolism/nutrition. They are also used in immunology as models for infectious diseases and autoimmune responses.

Mycoplasma Testing
The cell line has been screened using the luciferase based mycoplasma detection kit to confirm the absence of mycoplasma species.

The cell line has been screened using the membrane filtration testing methods to confirm the absence of aerobic, anaerobic and fungi microorganisms.

Quality Control
Cultures are screened for the presence of bacteries, yeast, fungi and mycoplasma (DNA amplification). Growth media are also certified based on U.S. Public Health Service Guidelines.
Storage
Lyophilized cells should be stored in a liquid nitrogen tank (-150°C~-190°C). After thawing, cells should be immediately transferred to the appropriate culture medium and maintained under recommended culture conditions.
Handling Notes
Frozen cells should be thawed immediately upon receipt and grown according to handling procedure to ensure cell viability and proper assay performance.
Note: Do not freeze the cells upon receipt as it may result in irreversible damage to the cell line.
