GlycoErase™ HEK293T ST6GALNAC1 Knockout Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0425-JF478)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description To further expand the tools available for studying sialylation, we are pleased to offer an ST6GALNAC1 knockout HEK293T cell line. This model lacks the ST6GALNAC1-encoded ST6 N-acetylgalactosaminide alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase 1, an enzyme involved in the sialylation of glycoproteins and glycolipids. The absence of ST6GALNAC1 function in this cell line provides a unique opportunity to investigate the role of sialylation in cell-cell interaction, matrix interactions, and intracellular signaling.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
