GlycoErase™ TPI1 Knockout HEK293 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF486)

Datasheet

1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ TPI1 knockout HEK293 cell line is a HEK293 model without TPI1 expression. TPI1 encodes triosephosphate isomerase, catalyzing the reversible interconversion of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. Deficiency causes TPI deficiency, a rare metabolic disorder. This knockout provides a human cellular model to investigate glycolytic control, redox and energy balance, and rare enzymopathies, supporting metabolic and disease-focused research.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target TPI1
Full Name Triosephosphate Isomerase 1
Alternative Name TIM; TPI; TPID; HEL-S-49
Location 12p13.31
Gene ID 7167
Summary This gene produces an enzyme that catalyzes the reversible interconversion of glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. It is a homodimer, and mutations lead to triosephosphate isomerase deficiency. Pseudogenes occur on chromosomes 1, 4, 6, and 7, and alternative splicing yields multiple variants.
For Research Use Only.
