GlycoErase™ AXIN1 Knockout Glycoengineered Cell (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF79)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ AXIN1 knockout glycoengineered cell targets axin-1, a negative regulator of WNT signaling that interacts with APC, β-catenin, GSK3β, and PP2. Mutations are associated with multiple cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma. This model is valuable for cancer biology and WNT pathway research.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target AXIN1
Full Name Axin 1
Alternative Name AXIN; CMDOH; PPP1R49
Location 16p13.3
Gene ID 8312
Summary This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein which contains a regulation of G-protein signaling (RGS) domain and a dishevelled and axin (DIX) domain. The encoded protein interacts with adenomatosis polyposis coli, catenin beta-1, glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta, protein phosphate 2, and itself. This protein functions as a negative regulator of the wingless-type MMTV integration site family, member 1 (WNT) signaling pathway and can induce apoptosis. The crystal structure of a portion of this protein, alone and in a complex with other proteins, has been resolved. Mutations in this gene have been associated with hepatocellular carcinoma, hepatoblastomas, ovarian endometriod adenocarcinomas, and medullablastomas. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
