GlycoErase™ PCK1 Knockout HEK293T Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF538)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PCK1 knockout HEK293T cell line is a HEK293T model deficient in PCK1 expression. PCK1 encodes cytosolic phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PEPCK-C), a key enzyme of gluconeogenesis regulated by hormones including insulin, glucagon, and glucocorticoids. Mutations result in PEPCK deficiency. This knockout enables mechanistic studies of gluconeogenic regulation, endocrine control of metabolism, and metabolic disease pathways in a human cell system.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PCK1
Full Name Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase 1
Alternative Name PCKDC; PEPCK1; PEPCKC; PEPCK-C
Location 20q13.31
Gene ID 5105
Summary This gene encodes an enzyme critical for gluconeogenesis, converting oxaloacetate to phosphoenolpyruvate. It is regulated by insulin, glucocorticoids, and diet. Defects result in phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase deficiency.
