GlycoErase™ PFKM Knockout HEK293 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF429)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ PFKM knockout HEK293 cell line is a HEK293 model without PFKM expression. PFKM encodes the muscle isoform of phosphofructokinase, catalyzing the rate-limiting step in glycolysis. Mutations cause glycogen storage disease type VII (Tarui disease). This knockout model enables human-focused studies of glycolytic regulation, metabolic diseases, and tumor glycolysis under altered energy demand.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PFKM
Full Name Phosphofructokinase, Muscle
Alternative Name GSD7; PFK1; PFKA; PFKX; PFK-1; PFK-A; ATP-PFK; PPP1R122
Location 12q13.11
Gene ID 5213
Summary Phosphofructokinase (PFK) is a glycolytic enzyme with three isozymes in humans: muscle, liver, and platelet. The muscle isozyme is encoded by this gene, and mutations cause glycogen storage disease type VII (Tarui disease). Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms.
