Description GlycoErase™ PPP1R12B knockout HepG2 cell line removes PPP1R12B (MYPT2/M20), which is enriched in heart, skeletal muscle, and brain, regulating PP1cδ activity. This knockout model enables the investigation of muscle-specific phosphatase regulation, cardiac glycogen metabolism, and metabolic pathways in liver cells.

Summary Myosin phosphatase consists of three subunits: the catalytic PP1c-delta, a large regulatory MYPT, and a small regulatory sm-M20. Two MYPT isoforms exist-MYPT1, which is widely expressed, and MYPT2, which may be specific to heart, skeletal muscle, and brain. This locus produces both MYPT2 and M20, with multiple isoforms generated by alternative splicing. Related pseudogenes are found on the Y chromosome.
