GlycoFlux™ Human PHKG1 Overexpression HepG2 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0925-JF670)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoFlux™ human PHKG1 overexpression HepG2 cell line is a stable glycoengineered line that constitutively overexpresses the γ1 catalytic subunit of phosphorylase kinase. Increased catalytic drive accelerates glycogen breakdown, providing a rapid-response system to link acute carbon mobilization with OST site occupancy, mannose trimming, and receptor surface glycoform turnover.

Availability Status Made to order
Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target PHKG1
Full Name Phosphorylase Kinase Catalytic Subunit Gamma 1
Alternative Name PHKG
Location 7p11.2
Gene ID 5260
Summary The encoded protein is a serine/threonine kinase with a single kinase domain and two calmodulin-binding regions. It serves as the catalytic element of the phosphorylase kinase holoenzyme, a 16-part complex critical for glycogen breakdown. Pseudogenes appear on 7q11.21 and 11p11.12, and multiple mRNA variants exist.
