GlycoErase™ ENO3 Knockout CHO-K1 Cell Line (CAT#: GLJF-0825-JF274)

Datasheet
SizeQtyAdd To Basket
1 M cells/vial*2

Description GlycoErase™ ENO3 knockout CHO-K1 cell line is a CHO-K1 model lacking ENO3 expression. ENO3 encodes a muscle-specific enolase isoenzyme that plays roles in skeletal muscle metabolism, development, and regeneration. Mutations in ENO3 are linked to glycogen storage disease and muscle dysfunction. The knockout of ENO3 in the CHO-K1 background provides a system to study skeletal muscle metabolism, glycolytic regulation, and muscle-associated pathologies, supporting applications in metabolic disease research, neuromuscular disorders, and therapeutic target validation.

Handling Notes Upon receipt, this product must be immediately transferred from dry ice to liquid nitrogen (-150°C to -190°C) and stored in a liquid nitrogen tank. Cell viability is critically dependent on proper handling. We cannot guarantee viability if these instructions are not strictly adhered to.
Product Disclaimer This product is provided for research only, not suitable for human or animal use. Due to the inherent limitations of infectious agent testing, investigators must exercise extreme caution when handling cells provided by Creative Biolabs, treating all cells as potentially biohazardous.
Target ENO3
Full Name Enolase 3
Alternative Name MSE; GSD13
Location 17p13.2
Gene ID 2027
Summary This gene encodes one of the three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. This isoenzyme is found in skeletal muscle cells in the adult where it may play a role in muscle development and regeneration. A switch from alpha enolase to beta enolase occurs in muscle tissue during development in rodents. Mutations in this gene have be associated glycogen storage disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described.
